Old player becomes new player.
Well I used to play Guild Wars when phropecies came out. I'm wondering if my old account will still be working when I install Guild Wars again.
Answer back and thanks a lot. Last edited by Divine Sonado; Aug 27, 2007 at 06:15 AM // 06:15.. |

There are too many to list.
Some major ones include: Hard Mode (accessable at Lvl 20) Loot Scaling (basically the amount of loot dropped is scaled to meet the number of players in your party) For full details about loot scaling, read this: http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Game_updates/2007_April From this page, you can read about other updates as well |

I did the same as you just recently.. I played back in Prophecies Beta and then when it came out. Left to play WoW for ages (big mistake) and then only came back to GW this last month, and have bought NF and Factions, and preordered GW:EN.
Have to say, I missed this game, love it. You'll get back in to the swing of things pretty quickly, but there's so much new stuff! My issue is leveling up my chars and going through proph, NF, Factions and GWEN before GW2 is out! |

You only get exp from the doppleganger once - that was an exploit and many people were banned for it way back when it was happening.

You might want to download everything before you log on. The way to do that is is add -image after the target location on your gw short cut. Or you can just make another short cut for downloading images. It should look like this; "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -image

What do you mean by download everything first?

When you zone into an area you haven't previously been to, the game will stop at a loading screen to download and decompress all the data necessary for that area. Having been away from GW for a considerable time, this process could take you a while and be frustrating.
You can avoid it by using the -image function that Ryker mentioned. It will likely take a few hours, so let it run overnight or something before you want to sit down and play. |

The best way in my opinion is to use the -image command and download everything you need in one go but you can just login and have all the updated files streamed to your pc while you play. Heres some information on the -image command and lots more guild wars commands if you need them: Click Me |

Fastest way to level to 20 = Complete quests in Factions
Whenever I start a new character in the game, the first thing I do is run them to Factions. From factions, it is surprisingly fast and easy to get to level 20. Why? Because most of the quests give out an INSANE amount of xp...like 1,500-10k XP each. I decided to have some fun with my NF mesmer for a while and slowly leveled her up in NF. Finally, when I hit level 14, I grew tired of the grind, and bought a ferry to Factions from another player. Once I reached factions, I went from level 14 to 20 in 2 hours. Compare that to the 4 days it took me (2 hours a night) just to get to level 14 in NF. Most important advice for you: if you have Nightfall, don't forget to upgrade your heros! You MUST add runes, insignias, and max weapons (with good attributes) to your heros, just like you would with your characters. It's expensive, but the difference is night and day. Your heros will be so much better with the equipment, you won't believe it. If you're broke, I'd suggest that you start with upgrading your Monks, followed by your MM Necro. You can then use those heros when you group wuth other pickup groups, or when you choose to go solo. |

Goldleader is so right... I just recently started factions after I totally gave up leveling my prophecies ranger; in no more than 3 days I had a monk that could hold his own on the mainland (with henchmen, i can't get heroes i don't hink 'cause I don't have Nightfall). You level soooo much quicker on factions than on prophecies with all those quests and whatnot.
